The SENDcast – Teach Primary Award Winner

The SENDcast has just been announced as the winner of the Teach Primary Awards 2021 in the free resource category! The awards are designed to help teachers seek out the very best educational resources to support their pupils and we are delighted to have been recognised for this. The judges assessed our suitability, educational impact, durability, originality and accessibility. This is the second award we’ve won this year, making the SENDcast a multi award winning podcast.

Why make a podcast about Special Educational Needs?

B Squared launched the SENDcast 18 months ago to improve knowledge around SEND in a simple and effective way to help both schools and parents. Everyone working in schools needs training and support around SEND, but the funding isn’t there to achieve this so we created this free resource to ensure that budget wouldn’t be a constraint.

Best Educational Podcast 2021

Earlier in the year The SENDcast was also shortlisted as the Best Educational Podcast 2021. For busy teachers, podcasts are increasingly a great CPD resource, providing inspiration, entertainment, and new ways of thinking about education. The SENDcast was shortlisted for our dedication to providing useful, actionable and credible advice to educators.

About the SENDcast

With over 70 episodes and 51,000 downloads the SENDcast is going from strength to strength so we wanted to say a huge thank you to our listeners and of course our podcast guest speakers!

5 new episodes have gone live so far this term:

  • Communication – That’s The Aim of The Game with Ginny Bootman
