Connecting Steps makes assessing, tracking and reporting progress easier
Powerful assessment software for your school
Our assessment software Connecting Steps has been created for use by different types of schools, across a variety of curriculums, for pupils with a wide range of abilities. It was designed from the start to be easy to use, save teachers’ time and be flexible enough to suit their needs. The software has to cater for a wide range of assessment needs - assessing EYFS pupils has a very different set of requirements compared with pupils studying for GCSEs. Connecting Steps has been designed to meet all of these needs. It makes assessing, tracking and reporting progress easier for Primary, Secondary and SEND schools, as well as Early Years settings.
Assessment for schools
We have developed assessment frameworks, for use within our Connecting Steps software, for a wide range of curriculums from birth to the end of Key Stage 4. These include frameworks for children working both at and below Age Related Expectations. Our frameworks are non-prescriptive, so they can also work with your school's individualised curriculum. We have specialist frameworks for the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence and the Welsh Curriculum. Our autism profiling tool, Autism Progress, is also used in schools to help support staff working with pupils who have autism to better understand how an individual's autism affects them and recommend ability-relevant support strategies.
